About the Doctor

Dr. Ivette C. Lozano was born in Havana Cuba. A "political refugee" she immigrated as a child with her family to the United States. Her family settled in the Old East Dallas / Lakewood community where she still resides today. She has a passion for people and it was her life-long goal to become a medical doctor.

Dr. Lozano graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School after three years as their Valedictorian.

She followed a traditional Premed curriculum at Southern Methodist University again graduating in three years with a major in Chemistry and minors in Biology and Psychology. Dr. Lozano attended Texas Tech University Health Science Center School of Medicine. She recalls the best years of her training as those spent as a surgical resident at University of Texas Medical Branch Galveston - in the Department of General Surgery. "I thought how cool to do my surgical training on the beach!"

Dr. Lozano has been in solo private practice for fifteen years. Lozano Medical  Clinic is an Urgent Care Center that evolved from the need to have a simplified model of medical care available for those not fortunate enough to have insurance. It was to provide medical care at an affordable price and an opportunity for Dr Lozano to fulfill her duties as mother to her only child, a daughter, Taite.

Lozano Medical Clinic is a unique single physician practice with the goal of preserving the doctor patient relationship. The philosophy is simple we aim at educating our patients on their disease process in order to achieve sustainable results. We try to stimulate our patients to take an active participation in their own care. Our focus is ultimately on staying healthy, promoting wellness and independent living.
